Not every site needs, nor should have, an on-site search feature. But those that do must be sure that the search isn't just an after-thought. It needs to be more than something to add because you think visitors want it. Adding a search function is not necessarily good for on-site usability. Implementing a search function improperly is often a greater source of frustration than not having one altogether.

There are certain guidelines and requirements that one must follow in order to register a domain. Failing to do so could result in the loss of the name and any valuable time and effort put into the branding and marketing of the name.

One cool thing I've been doing with pMetrics lately is monitoring my sites, in real time, for any natural Stumble Upon traffic. In the past few weeks, from time to time, I've caught some brief traffic trickles come in from StumbleUpon. With pMetrics, I see this happen in real time, and capitalize on it.

With the popularity and success of multi-authored blogs and news-related blogs, this appears to be a trend that will continue as there is a considerable need for valuable, well-written content that draws attention. As a paid writer, if the work that you produce consistently draws traffic, comments, and links, blog owners will want you to write for them. You'll have more repeat opportunities as well as more new opportunities that find you.
