How to: Post on your blog and Pownce at the same time
Published by Adam Lyttle on July 15, 2007

Numerous websites are reporting on a method that can be used to post messages on Pownce and Twitter at the same time. This instantly made me wonder whether it was possible to post on my blog and Pownce at the same time. When I checked there was no available method, so I developed my own. Although with the lack of a Pownce API I was forced to improvise.

Download the following scripts to make this work:

pownce.phps
pownce_example.phps

The pownce_example.phps script demonstrates how the pownce.phps script works.

For this to work you will need to create a folder called "jar" on the root directory of your server. You will also need to give this folder full read/write access, you can do so by setting chmod to 0770. You also need to edit pownce_example.phps and replace the username and password with your Pownce equivalent.

Once you have the scripts figured out its simply a matter of inserting the pownce.phps script into your blog. If you need any help feel free to contact us.

You may also notice that all of the comments posted on the Pownce entry of this blog post are also displayed below. Sometime within the next few days I will release the scripts that make this possible.

Hmm just testing. Looks cool, although it would be just nice if they would release the API. I think Pownce would explode even more so.

It definitely would. I've recently signed up with Twitter and I must say their API is awesome.
