Australian WeatherBar

Over the weekend I decided it was time to downgrade from Vista to XP (for reasons that I will not go into today). But one of the features I do miss is the Vista Sidebar, especially the weather feature. It was nice to see the current temperature and forecast on my desktop.

But now I'm on XP and missing the weather sidebar. The free weather downloads are either for American cities or are too untrustworthy. So I set out to re-release one of my old favourites, WeatherBar.

Re-Introducing WeatherBar

WeatherBar is a free program that sits on your Windows desktop and displays the current temperature and the forecast for the next few days. The weather details are downloaded directly from the weather stations supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology and are updated every few minutes.
  • Shows the current temperature on your desktop
  • Adds a weather icon to your system tray
  • Updates periodically
  • View the temperature from your local weather station
  • Works in all Australian states
  • 3 - 4 day forecast and weather conditions description
  • Best of all, it's free

WeatherBar is a free software application designed and developed by Adamant Solutions. Free to download, free from viruses, free from spyware, free from adware and free from anything else malicious.
