How to: Use BuryMine with Firefox
Published by Adam Lyttle on August 10, 2007

I have had a few people ask for an easier way to check out the bury data for their stories on Digg. So I will be working on a new version of Digg Alerter when I get some free time. Until then you can use the keyword system built into Firefox. This is what you need to do:

Step 1.
Make your way to the BuryMine Lookup Tool. Right click the textbox labeled "Digg Story Location", then click the "Add Keyword For This Search" menu item.

Step 2.
Type in a name, this will be displayed as a normal bookmark in your bookmarks list. In the Keyword section type "burymine" (lowercase) and then place it the folder of your choice.

Step 3.
Now you can enter the word "burymine" at the beginning of any Digg story url to get a listing of all the bury data captured. This is best used when browsing the Digg site, simply highlight the address bar and type the keyword before the url.
