There's no denying it, this year has been a shocker for retailers. Now that our economy is in recovery mode our clients are asking us "What can we do to increase our sales over the Christmas period to make up for lost sales throughout the year?"

Well, the answer is quite simple -- You can increase your sales by selling more products online.

And why not? An e-Commerce website is like a sales person who works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and doesn't require a wage. While increasing your customer base beyond your store-front -- selling your products to even more people nationally (and even internationally).

The Premier's website today launched a brand new Twitter ticker which displays Mike Rann's latest tweets on the social networking site Twitter.

The ticker is a nice addition to the Premier's website and helps to make people aware of his Twitter account. You can follow Mike Rann's tweets by visiting http://twitter.com/premiermikerann.

Westpac's New Website -- Sneak Peak!

The new Westpac website, set to launch this year, features a slicker interface that's much easier to use and navigate (not to mention much nicer on the eye).

The company has announced the new website design months before the new site is set to go live. An online bulletin reads "Our website is changing!", with information about the new design and an online interactive guide aimed at introducing customers to the new site.

This is a well thought out plan by Westpac, who have had their name used on phoney websites aimed at stealing customers online login details (also known as phishing sites). The initiative prepares their customers of the changes well before the new site goes live, giving them a chance to become familiar with the new look.

Westpac offers the following tips to ensure their customers are viewing the new website and not a phishing site:

How do I know the changes are part of Westpac's new website?
You can be assured by simply typing www.westpac.com.au in your web browser and follow the links to online banking.

Security reminder
Remember never respond to an email with your personal details including your Customer ID or passwords. Westpac will never send you an email with a link to your online banking.
